Vescio Manufacturing International
February 2021 - Present
I joined Vescio Manufacturing as the HR Coordinator in February 2021 with no experience and have been with the company since. I learned to adapt quickly to a new job, a new industry, new systems, processes and everything in between. My tasks include managing the weekly payroll, renewal of employee benefits, hiring, firing, onboarding and organizing company events such as the annual Christmas party to name a few.
Working for a family-owned business has allowed me to venture out in tasks outside of my “official” job title. These experiences have brought me great insight into different areas of business to include international relations and banking. Being bilingual opened the opportunity to work alongside the owner to re-locate the Mexico facility in finding not only a new building, but a new shelter company to keep the operations in Mexico going. This task required multiple trips to Mexico, scouting for potential shelter companies and buildings, multiple meetings to understand Mexico’s laws and requirements for successfully transferring our company from one shelter company to the next.
When our accountant of 10 years left the company, I was entrusted as the main administrator of our bank accounts. As a result, I manage all users on our banking platforms, approve and send all necessary wires and am currently working alongside our accounting team to switch banks.
Because I had no prior experience, when I started the position, I felt as if I was thrown in a pool where I either had to learn to swim to survive. Now almost five years later I’m proud of how far I have come and all I have learned. Although the job has not been easy, I have gained incredibly insight of the skills required to keep a business alive, healthy and profitable.
Although my job was already demanding, I was a full-time student and full-time employee from Fall of 2023 – Summer of 2025. Managing both roles simultaneously, required detailed time management to do my job well, attend classes and finish my assignments. Despite the high demands of both roles, I was on the Dean’s list at Biola University from Fall 2023 – Spring 2025.
The past five years have brought on incredible value in learned experience of time management, relational skills, leadership development, learned failures, responsibility, accountability, adaptability and perseverance among others. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity, trust and guidance in my role at Vescio Manufacturing International.
